Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By installing the Groupchatty CLI or using any Groupchatty service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service Description
Groupchatty provides a terminal-native real-time messaging service intended for developers. The service includes a CLI client, VS Code extension, and web console.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication tokens. Do not share your tokens with others. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate information during onboarding. Impersonating another person or organisation is prohibited.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Groupchatty to:
- — Send spam, unsolicited messages, or automated bulk messages
- — Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- — Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
- — Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- — Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems
- — Transmit content that infringes intellectual property rights
- — Reverse-engineer or scrape the service beyond normal usage
5. Content
You retain ownership of content you send through Groupchatty. By sending messages, you grant us a limited licence to store and transmit that content in order to provide the service. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
6. Availability
We provide Groupchatty on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted availability. We may modify or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your data per our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Groupchatty is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the service.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
